Oca serves ready-to-eat sausage dishes, platters, and cheese + charcuterie boards inside Sun King Brewing. Grab a pint and a plate to eat in or order "to go" with your growler. In Italian and Spanish, Oca means Goose. In Indy, Goose means over a decade of good eats. Mollie and Chris Eley returned to their hometown in 2007 to open goose the market in Indy. This full-service butcher shop also includes a carefully curated cheese + charcuterie case, craft beer + wine cellar, and daily sandwiches + small plates. Goose the market is open seven days a week at the corner of 25th and Delaware. The relationships with farmers and the recipes that Chris developed at goose the market grew into a wholesale, USDA-inspected meatery in 2011. Over 40 varieties of slow cured and smoked meats, salumi, and sausages head out to local and nationwide distribution from Smoking Goose’s downtown Indy meat locker. Over the years, Goose and Sun King collaborated on special events and new meat treats like beer sausages and hopped salumi. Now these two birds of a feather are together again with Oca’s menu next to Sun King’s taps.
